The Tirolean farming village of Scheffau is home to Chalet Heidi. Scheffau, with its surrounding mountains and hills, provides an excellent venue for those looking for a mountain holiday; Walking, Cycling, Climbing, Swimming, Eating & Drinking, Sunbathing, Sightseeing, to name but a few, are all on the doorstep. The summit of Scheffauer, at 2200m is achievable in 3 to 4 hours walking to anyone with a head for heights. The region provides ALL levels of walking from gentle hills (sometimes with a pushchair!) to high grade climbing.

Summer Haus Holidays offer a range of options from Bed & Breakfast to organised activity weeks and everything in between! Holidays can start and end on any day of the week and can be of any duration. Throughout the summer, 14 mountain lifts whisk holiday makers into the rolling hills of the SkiWelt. At 40 Euro for unlimited usage, the weekly ticket is a must. Once up into the hills, guests can relax outside any of the numerous mountain restaurants, cyclists can track their way down the 1000m descent to the valley bottom, and children can play the numerous children's areas. Whatever you wish to do, we will be around to offer advice, feed you a good breakfast and even show you around ourselves. Scheffau doesn't have to be "all action"! With two excellent swimming pools in neighbouring villages, and Hintersteiner See, a picturesque sunbathing and swimming location, there can be plenty of relaxation.  Both Salzburg and Innsbruck are only an hours drive away or there are daily coach excursions from the village. At the end of an active day you could simply relax in Chalet Heidi's garden and have a cool refreshing drink brought to you!
